It would be hard to be a great high school team run the same 4plays in different directions..Gus is only a average high school with great talent surrounding that program.
Blake, you nailed it with this post. HUNH had to change with the substitution rule change... it seems everyone knew that and did that except Malzahn. High-level, successful coaches are constantly showing that evolving/adapting to the changes and cycles in the game is a must. Just look across the state if you're an AU fan. Saban has totally adapted his coaching/recruiting/staff/philosophy to the current status of the game --- he was known for defense, and now his teams are the world leaders in offense! - LT
